Born on Dec 6th, 1977, Eddie Ahern has come a long way in a short space of time....the signs of a star jockey.
It seems like Eddie has been around quite a while but that may be because he caught my attention as a potential star way back in 1997 when he was Champion Apprentice in Ireland.
The first time most international racegoers started noticing him was when he rode San Sebastian in the Prix du Cadran in France. Back then, Eddie would be the first to admit he was not the strongest of riders.....but a lot has changed since then.
